Philippians 2:12-18
INTRO
Satan presents doubts in our minds all of the time. Have I been saved? You aren’t worthy enough to work for Christ, think about your past. Things like that, have you ever been presented with such thoughts in your mind? Tonight’s sermon leads us into making sure that we are secure Eternally with Jesus Christ.
TEXT
I. Work out your Salvation with Fear and Trembling
a. “Work Out” – means to make sure that you are saved – make sure that you have totally given your life to Christ.
b. “Fear” – Reverential awe or respect of God
c. “Trembling: - comes into play with the decision that is made – Careful concern of the reality of knowing Christ or not knowing Christ as your personal Savior and Lord.
d. HOW DO I MAKE SURE?
i. Repent of all sins
ii. Confess Jesus as Savior and Lord
iii. Allow Christ to Transform you and fill you with His fruits, not the sour grapes of the world and Satan.
II. God works to bring out His best in us.
a. Hebrews 13:20-21
b. It’s all because of His Love, Grace, Mercy , and His Forgiveness
c. We are created in Jesus Christ – Ephesians 2:10
i. When we allow God to work. . .
1. There will be no: Murmurings – no disputes amongst us – no complaining, no gossiping.
ii. God’s people will be:
1. Blameless and Harmless – Sons of God – Living the Word on a daily basis
How sure are you tonight?
