Summary: God's will for all believers is to be thankful in every circumstances. Whether pleasant or unpleasant, we should give thanks to the one who alone knows the end from the beginning.

TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT

"Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus."

ALWAYS GIVE THANKS TO GOD

If you are a disciple of Christ, God's will for your life is for you to be thankful in all circumstances. You will face trails, afflictions, persecutions and temptations from Satan and his human and demonic agents; but God expects you to still be thankful. It is not easy to be thankful when passing through difficult situations; that's why the road to heaven and eternal life is strait. Some have passed through similar difficulties but did not make it, but you are alive; be thankful.God's grace will see you through in Jesus name.

GOD'S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT

Jesus told Paul when he was passing through a difficult spell: "...My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." (2 Cor 12:9). In our weak and vulnerable state, God displays his power to show that He alone is omnipotent. He uses the weak things to confound the strong and powerful. "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us" (2 Cor 4:7). Be thankful that God has chosen you to show his grace and mighty power. God will use you to advertise his glory and majesty in Jesus name.

STOP COMPLAINING AND MURMURING

We complain a lot. The children of Israel grumbled and complained throughout their journey in the wilderness, in spite of God's miracles, protection and provisions for them. Their complains drew God's wrath and only two from that generation made it to the promised land. Are you one of those that complain about everything? Paul warns all believers: "Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer" (1 Cor 10:10). Don't join the company of murmurers and complainers; be thankful for what you have and your status. Be humble and God will lift you up. The Lord will lift you from the dunghill and cause you to sit in your seat of glory in Jesus name.

BE THANKFUL

The blind can't see, they complain little. The deaf can't hear, they complain less. The dumb can't speak, they don't complain. The dead don't murmur. We can see, hear, speak and are alive but we complain the most. It a privilege to see, hear and speak. Life is a gift. Be thankful in all circumstances. Just tell God, thank you Lord.

PRAYER:

Father, please forgive me for all my complains, murmurs and grumblings. Have mercy upon me in Jesus name.

DECREE:

God's grace is sufficient for me. Lord, I am thankful.

God bless you. Shalom.
