Be God Confident Not Self Confident

1 Corinthians 10:12-13 King James Version (KJV)

12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Beloved, nobody is immune to temptations, nobody is immune to sometimes falling to it. Beloved every temptation that comes your way, has come the way of many men before. Some withstood it with God confidence and others fell to it due to self confidence.

Beloved, our weaknesses most at times makes us fall to temptations. This is not to make us see how dirty and unworthy we are but to make us know that we *always need Jesus*. Our need of Jesus is not only at salvation but we need Him more, even after we are saved.

Beloved, if man doesn't fall sometimes, he feels more righteous than others and some men become judgemental of other children of God and feel they are beyond falling or better than others. Sometimes these people are allowed to fall so they know it's not that they are better than anybody but it is by the grace of God that they stand or have been standing for this long.

Beloved, for such people who think they can't fall to any temptation, they can't err, and they parade themselves as though they are "holier than thou" they should becareful, lest they fall and struggle to stand again. Mostly, when such men fall they are unable to rise again due to their pride and the shame it has brought them.

Beloved, when you know you need Jesus in all things and even if you should fall, He is the one who will help you up to carry on, you live a more free and better life than those who feel they have to work or fight with their knowledge and strength to overcome.

Don't let the devil deceive you with all this "you have to be strong, you have knowledge use it, God gave you a brain to think don't be lazy and so on." Always stand strong in the Lord. Always rely on wisdom in God and His blessings to apply the wisdom He has given to you. Beloved be God confident not self confident.

To be self confident is to be proud and God hates pride. He will surely bring the proud down. To be God confident is to be humble and God loves people with humility. He will surely exalt them to the glory of His name.

Beloved, *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. Jesus relied on God in all things. He said "I do what I see my Father do". Jesus was God confident. Jesus was humble and in the end God exalted Him. Rely on God in all things, you will always come out victorious and God shall surely exalt you.

Prayer: Daddy please cause me to depend on you in all things that I will be God confident not self confident in Jesus name. Amen.
