Be Free

Summary: The parable begins by telling us “ that at all times, people ought to pray and not lose heart.” The Lord is teaching us the lesson, that of being persistent, consistent, and unceasing in prayer.
The "Be Free" I want to discuss today refers to the freedom we have in God. In the parable found in Luke 18:1, Jesus aims to teach us that we should always pray and never give up. In the game of life, we must learn to persist and persevere in prayer. It is easy to feel depressed, distressed, and bound by the trials and tribulations we face today as believers in Christ. This is precisely what the enemy wants us to do. However, how many of us know that whom the Son has set free is free indeed?
Brothers and sisters, prayerful dependence on God should be our lifeline; we must do nothing without prayer. We do not have to be bound by the tricks and plans of the enemy. Even when it seems like God does not hear us or that our prayers go unanswered—when all hell seems to be breaking loose—we must “Be Free” and persist in prayer.
In 2 Corinthians 3:17, it is written, "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” We must recognize that wherever God’s Spirit (the Holy Spirit) is present within us, we can be confident and “Be Free” to withstand any attack the enemy may launch against us by pursuing the Word of God.
I understand that the current state of affairs around us may seem overwhelming, and it might feel crazy to align our thoughts and hearts with the Word of God. However, if we believe in the power and promises of God, we must search the Scriptures and apply His Word to our current circumstances. We can be assured that God's will is at work, even in broken situations, and our loving Heavenly Father will respond to us.
During the election, many churches gathered corporately—via Zoom, in person, or prayer lines—to pray in agreement about the leader we desired. When that did not happen, our prayers began to decrease. But we must persist in prayer! Just like in the parable, we also deal with unjust judges who lack compassion and do not care for God or people. Yet, we must press in and make use of our freedom of speech, crying out to God in prayer.
We must focus on the plans God has to prosper us, to give us a hope and a future, and not to harm us. We should concentrate on the promises of God rather than the process. In the Old Testament, particularly in the book of Judges, we see that God allows—or even raises—evil rulers in positions of governmental authority. This does not mean that God approves of evil actions; rather, He can use them within His overall plan.
We must let go and let God! We have to BE FREE and persist in prayer, asking that His grace and mercy will guide and take control. I encourage you to CLAIM YOUR FREEDOM IN GOD, BE FREE TO PERSEVERE IN PRAYER, BE FREE TO APPLY GOD'S WORD TO YOUR LIFE AND BE FREE AND FAITHFUL TO GOD AND DEVOTED TO HIM THE SOVEREIGN ONE UNTIL HIS RETURN
