We’ve got to start 2016 somewhere. Why not go back to the very beginning?

If we go to the beginning, we find that we must start with GOD the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Ghost Spirit.

Jesus is the beginning

John 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

In the Beginning GOD created

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Understanding the LORD and reverencing HIM is the beginning of wisdom

Psalms 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

And Knowledge

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

We are NEW in Christ

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

From the Beginning, we are to love one another

2 John 1:5-6 5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

WORD IS GUIDING

Psalms 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

PROTECTION

Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

QUICKENS TO LIFE

Psalms 119:25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

Psalms 119:28 My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

SALVATION

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

OUR HOPE

Psalms 119:114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

THE LIGHT OF UNDERSTANDING

Psalms 119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

ORDER

Psalms 119:133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

PURE

Psalms 119:140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

OUR MEDITATION AND THOUGHTS

Psalms 119:148 Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.

TRUTH AND RIGHTEOUS AND ENDURING

Psalms 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

A GREAT TREASURE

Psalms 119:162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Jesus said,

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

TO BEGIN THIS YEAR, LET US START FROM THE VERY BEGINNING.

WHERE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS THE SON (WORD) AND THE HOLY GHOST (SPIRIT) BEGAN OUR TIME HERE.
