Are You Sure That, Your Sure!

Matthew 7:6-23

Verse 6-Dogs and Swine

Psalm 22:16-For dogs have surrounded Me; The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet;

2 Peter 2:22-But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

Nothing you do they appreciate, (You have anyone in your life like that) so you quit giving them stuff!

Luke 10:21-In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes.

That may be why some people find Church and the Bible boring, or the reason they don’t understand it!

How Do I Determine If People In My Life Are Like That?

THREE WAYS:

Ask God To Reveal It To You-Verse 7-Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Look At The Path They Are On-Verse 13-Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

Look At The Fruit They Bear-Verse 18-A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.

The reason we need to know this about the ones we are dealing with, is because we can spend a lot of time, a lot of resources, a lot of energy on people who take, take and take

And never give back, never get right with God!

Matthew 10:14-And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

Verse 21-23-“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’

And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

He Makes It Clear That Not All Who Profess Him, Possess Him!

Church membership isn’t good enough, knowledge of the doctrines isn’t good enough, and being a good person isn’t good enough. Salvation only comes thru the new birth.

He doesn’t argue with them that they did these things, His statement is: “That He Never Knew Them!”

How bad is that, the One who knows everything about you, says, “He Never Knew You!”

2 Tim. 2:19-Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

1 John 2:3-6-Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
