Are You Ready To Suffer Shame And Die For The Name Of Jesus

Summary: Beloved as Christians we need to know that we are also called to suffer shame for the name of Jesus and in some cases we need to die for His name's sake.

Topic: ARE YOU READY TO SUFFER SHAME AND DIE FOR THE NAME OF JESUS?
Acts 5:40-42 King James Version (KJV)
40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
Beloved, I want to start by asking;
*Are you ready and willing to suffer shame for the name of Jesus?*
Beloved, this is a question that, when answered in your heart, you will know where you stand and how achievable the will of God for your life is.
Beloved, it's not everybody who is called to suffer shame for the sake of the name of Jesus. Some will ride on the back of others and some will enjoy the benefits derived after others have gone through the shame to fight for liberty for all.
When the Lord finds you worthy to suffer for His name He will call you to it. It takes Christians of a very high spiritual authority and power to suffer shame for the Lord's name.
You would need the Spirit of Resilience, the Spirit of Endurance and the Spirit of not Giving up to go through the mill for the name of Jesus and be shamed without any respect or whatsoever and not regret or feel sad but rejoice to the glory of God.
Beloved we need the Spirit of God to be in us with us and upon us to be able to suffer shame for the name of Jesus.
It is an honour to be counted worthy to suffer shame for the name of Jesus.
Beloved, when you suffer shame for His name's sake, there is nothing you can't do for Him and there is no where you can't go for Him.
People who are called for this purpose here on earth, have a special purpose of glory in heaven. The glory they have, waiting to be unveiled and enjoyed, surpasses what is needed here on earth. They will enjoy this glory fully and wholly in heaven and they will enjoy it for eternity.
Beloved, this, is a calling. Just like some are called to be Apostles, Prophets etc., some people who may or may not be Apostles or Prophets or people called to any of the offices given by Christ Jesus, are called to suffer shame for the name of Jesus.
I urge you therefore Beloved, no matter the trials, tribulations, attacks and so on, never give up, continue pushing the Kingdom Agenda through the preaching of the Gospel in the manner and way in which the Lord has called you to do so.
Beloved *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. If you are Jesus centred, you will be ready and willing to suffer shame for His name to the extent that you can sacrifice your life (like the martyrs) for His name.
*ARE YOU READY AND WILLING TO DIE BECAUSE OF HIS NAME?*
Prayer: Father, please give me the zeal and strength to suffer for the name of Jesus, when I'm called to do so. And may I never be afraid to die for His name when I have to, for the fulfilment of the Kingdom Agenda. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
