Are We At Peace? (Tuesday Of The Fifth Week Of Easter)
Contributed by Dr. John Singarayar on Jun 20, 2020 (message contributor)
Summary: Are we at peace during the time of our suffering and difficulties? Are we at peace during this pandemic Covid-19?
Reflection
Today, as we read in the first reading (Acts 14:19-28), we hear that early Christian community was persecuted for following the way of Jesus.
At the same time, they could go around without the fear of persecution, day by day strengthening their faith in Jesus.
How could they do it?
Because there was peace in their heart, in their personal life and in their community that which Jesus himself gave them as the Gospel reading (John 14:27-31a) says today.
Are we at peace during the time of our suffering and difficulties? Are we at peace during this pandemic Covid-19?
