Summary: You may have to sometimes boldly stand for God and be ready for tough journey for the glory of God!

Arduous journey

Proverbs 3:6 “Acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight.”

I was reading the newspaper today and while reading the entertainment column, I read how a choreography team traveled to a height of 12,000 feet to shoot a song in freezing cold temperature. The unit people vomited during the journey, yet worked in conditions that were both inhospitable and inconvenient, my conundrum is why do Christians drop out of church just for the sake of drizzle! Don’t we have the passion to do whatever it takes to reach His Tabernacle or work for His kingdom?

I would like to narrate something that happened few years back: It was raining heavily – cats & dogs – I was in another city staying with a pastor during that time ministering in his church, well another pastor staying about an hour and half away from the present place called me to minister in his church at his Sunday morning service – I agreed because the church needed it. It was raining the entire night, everybody refused to drop me and also advised me to excuse myself from the speaking engagement, because it was a dangerous journey considering the heavy rains and bad roads; nevertheless, I had a strong leading to go. I prayed the whole night, not a minute did the rain stop but still I prepared to leave the next day by ordering for a call-taxi. The taxi arrived and my bags were kept inside in the pouring rain, everybody gave me ‘pleading looks’, but I just got inside along with my son Joshua. The moment we stepped inside the cab, the rains stopped, praise God; however, we still had to travel through the bad roads. We did proceed and reached the church on time, unscathed, untouched, safe and unscratched; when I walked into the church, I found the pastor of that church knelt down in prayer, I thanked God for His powerful presence with me. You may have to sometimes boldly stand for God and be ready for tough journey for the glory of God!

How could I not mention here about the tough and hard journey that Joseph had to take along with his pregnant wife from Nazareth to Bethlehem and then again from Bethlehem to Egypt and much more in order to obey God’s voice. How many of you believe that God is powerful to protect you in the journey if you are in His will?

I’m sure this message is prophetic! Don’t submit your papers just because the job is tough or the boss is tough, remember, you’ve got tougher and heavier stuff to face in future. Take the challenge and face it with God!
