Introduction

I want to specially welcome you to the era of the fulfillment of God’s promises in your life. There’s a time to receive a promise, there’s a time to see the manifestation of the promise. Abraham received a promise of greatness and fruitfulness in Genesis 12:2-3 and Genesis 17:1-2. The time he received the promise was different from the time he saw the fulfilment of the promise. When the time for fulfilment came, God gave him a Word. The Word was that “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son” (Genesis 18:10). That Word simply meant the time for the fulfillment of my promise has come. When the time for fulfillment came, nothing could stop it, not even Sarah’s laughing at the Word God sent to her could stop the promise. I prophesy into your life that the time for the fulfilment of God’s promise has come for you and nothing and no one will be able to stop it.

I don’t know what promise of God you have been holding on to. Whether it is His promise to keep you in good health, His promise of deliverance and protection from evil, His promise of restoration or His promise to establish and promote you. Whatever be the promise, I want to assure you that the time for the fulfilment of the promise has come. This is your era; this is your season for God to put laughter in your mouth. God put laughter in Sarah’s mouth when the promise was fulfilled, God will put laughter in your mouth this season.

YOU NEED THE ANOINTING TO SEE THE MANIFESTATION OF THE PROMISE

There is something that ushers in the fulfillment of the promises of God, there is something that makes it impossible for you not to be blessed, there is something that keeps God’s promises from falling to the ground, it is THE ANOINTING. It is one thing for God to give a promise, it is yet another for you to see the manifestation of the promise. The anointing of God does not allow God’s promises to fail, the anointing of God is a guarantee or an assurance that the promise will be fulfilled.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 makes us understand that there is a very close connection between the Holy Spirit, the anointing of God and the promises of God. When you have the Holy Spirit, He comes into your life with the anointing or the power of God. When you have the indwelling Holy Spirit and His anointing, you have something valid to hold on to. When you have the anointing, you have a confirmation that God will do what He said He will do. Today God will pour His anointing on us and it will usher in the manifestation of many of God’s great and precious promises.

There are special anointing’s that go with certain promises of God. There are some specific kinds of anointing you need in your life before you can see the fulfillment of certain promises of God. We will look at these different anointing’s and we will pray for a mighty outpouring of the anointing of God on our lives.

1. THE ANOINTING TO DO GOOD

We are all partakers through Christ Jesus of the promises God gave to Abraham (Galatians 3:14). One of those promises is that you shall be a blessing. You need the anointing of God to be a channel of blessing. Acts 10:38 tells us that Jesus was specially anointed to do good, to be a blessing anywhere He went. When the anointing to do good comes upon your life, certain things will happen in your life:

• You will be a problem solver not a maker or source of trouble. Jesus went about solving the problems of those that were sick and oppressed not adding to their problems, not creating problems for them.

• Your name will never be found amongst the list of Christians who bribe, cheat, steal, commit adultery, fornication, tell lies etc. Your name won’t be mentioned for such things because you go around doing good not evil. In your family you are known for good not evil, at your place of work, in your church, you are known for good not evil.

• The things that limit you from doing good will be removed by the power of God. Lack of money or poverty can be a hindrance to doing good; to helping people. Instead of lending to people you are the one borrowing from people. Spiritual tiredness and luke-warmness can be a hindrance to doing good; to interceding for people. Sleep did not allow the disciples to pray for Jesus at the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46). Not being able to receive from God, not being filled with the word of God can be a hindrance to doing good. Isaiah 50:4 talks about God giving an instructed tongue such that you always have a timely word to sustain those that are weary. If you are not filled with the Word of God, you can’t do good to those who are weary because you don’t have any word of encouragement in season and out of season for them. Your flesh can be a big hindrance to doing good (Romans 8:5). When the Holy Spirit is telling you to give to someone in need, your flesh will be telling you a completely different thing like if you give how will you survive. Your flesh can remind you of something bad the person did to you 2 months ago, last year, or even 10 years ago. If you are not filled with the Spirit of God, you will give in to what your flesh is telling you. The flesh will make you repay evil with evil not good. The flesh can even make you repay good with evil.
