Anointing For Greater Glory
Contributed by Lekan Adesanya on Oct 10, 2015 (message contributor)
Summary: There is an anointing that God gave man but sin took it from him. The focus of the sermon is to receive a restoration of a Greater Glory through a renewal of anointing.

Acts 2 Verse 4:
Ac:2:4: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Introduction
The anointing of God flows from the Holy Spirit and, from creation man was anointed by God when he breathed his spirit into man, Ge:2:7: And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Sin removes these anointing from man until man became redeemed by the death of Jesus on The cross.
After his resurrection to the cross having appeared unto the disciples He commanded that the disciples gathered together so he could re-anoint them for a greater glory which was better than the former one that was lost as a result of sin and today you and myself a part of this anointing if only you have been born-again and spirit filled. Ac:1:2: Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:Ac:1:3: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: Ac:1:4: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
From where we have read manifestation of the Holy Spirit (the Glory of God) came to the disciples for some reasons and you also can experience that anointing this morning.
1. They followed Jesus till the end (You have to remain born-again) – you experience God’s glory when you continue to follow, don’t look back keep following: Lu:9:62: And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Brethren it will be too dangerous for you to turn back now.
2. They Acted instructions: Moses was able to see the glory of God by following the instruction to stand at a place by the rock. Ex:33:18: "And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory". Ex:33:21: And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock, Many of people don’t get to see the glory of God due to their disobedience and failure to follow simple instructions. You are praying for wealth and profit in business and you fail to yield to the commandment of tithe and giving, it’s not going to happen as you expected. You need peace in your marriage there is a commandment that you must yied to for it to happen There is a blessing that follows every commandment of God. Lu:6:38: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Mal:3:10: Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Psalms:119:165: Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them
3. They waited on Instruction – Those who are in a hurry never get to see the glory of God. The disciples acted on the instructions to wait at Jerusalem - Ac:1:4: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. You miss out when you run ahead of the vision, for it has an appointed time. Job was able to experience God’s glory with a restoration of things he had lost all because he waited. Job:14:14: If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Anyone who is willing to wait will be blessed with a mechanism that will make him to soar higher than where he never expected. Isa:40:31: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (a mechanism of flight is the wing for an eagle that makes it go higher than any other bird)
4. They where united on instruction - Ac:2:1: And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. There is a corporate anointing for the Glory of God and that is why you must always be available where the saints are gathering, there is a commandment to that in case you don’t know - Heb:10:25: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. The Glory of God do manifest upon the temple and it is only those who are found there that partakes in it. 2Ch:5:13: It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; 2Ch:5:14: So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God. I want to believe that David got this inspiration and then admonish us with his word in Psalms:133:1: Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
