Summary: And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11

Jesus speaking to Peter said; “Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not” (Luke 22:32). Notice his prayer for Peter will not stop Satan from coming against Peter, but when Satan comes, Peter would rise like an edifice and overcome whatever Satan throws at him. The Lord Jesus did not promise to stop trouble from coming our way, in fact before going, the he said, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). What he expects from us is not to cry like little children when we come across trials, he expects us to overcome Satan just like he did. This means you must give Satan so much beating, until he surrenders you. “Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake” (Isaiah 54:15).

This is why he told us, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned” (Isaiah 43:2). He is expecting us to collide with the waters, and the rivers, and the fire, however when we do, it is so that we can rise above it all by the power of the Holy Ghost. “In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:37). John wrote, For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith ( 1 John 5:4). He went on to say, “I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one” (1 John 2:14). In this Kingdom we do not surrender to Satan, We tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. I am an overcomer in the name of Jesus………..!

Jesus has done everything for us, and he became everything for us. He won the battle on the cross. He battled with Satan and he is demons in hell. That why in psalms it says open wide the gates and let the king of glory come in. Who is this king of glory, the Lord mighty in battle he is the king of glory. I think that when he went into hell and kicked open the gates and put that old devil in his place he conquered death hell and the grave. There is another scripture that says he lead captives free. It took him 3 days to do what he had to do.then he got up that is the victory victory.death couldn't hold him and the grave couldn't keep him. That makes us overcomes.tis is just my belief, Jesus went through all of this to show us yes you will go through some things but it will not kill you, you will fall but because He got up we can can get up to. It's ok to fall down that's a great praying position. But it's more powerful when you get up.
