Summary: A loving and not too long of an ordination charge.

Tonight Special night for these men

You each have been called to the ministry of GOD

Since you have surrendered, you have probably already faced difficulties, problems, and doubt

Some people would look at you say, how can you be called and feel those things

Think of how Peter felt as he sunk like a stone

As he lived ashamed for denying Jesus

Think of how Thomas felt, when Jesus proved him a fool

Think of how James felt, for not believing that his own brother wasn’t Messiah until after the Ressur.

Think of how John felt as he tried to understand the Revelation on Patmos

Think of Moses felt, as he watched the other rods turn to snakes

Every one of these men, had to totally lean on God.

None of them did it all the time.

But all of them did it most of the time.

There are going to be times you spend

Herding sheep, when you’re a deliverer

Herding Sheep when you’re a King

Doubting Jesus instead of Glorying in Resurrection

Fishing when you’re suppose to be an apostle

Sleeping when you’re suppose to be praying

Worrying about bread instead of looking to the bread of life

None of these things change your calling-

You are set apart by God

For the work of the ministry-

Matthew 9

20And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. 21For she said to herself, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." 22But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.

Ministry begins with a search after God.

God calls those who seek Him.

Even when it’s the farthest thing from you mind,

God can suddenly change your thots

So this work that is in you, began out of a desire just to touch a part.

God never gives you just a part.

He will always give you everything

Just as the woman wanted a little,

She was given everything

So remember you’re hunger for more of God led to this calling

That hunger is the only thing that will make your calling effective

Matthew 9

18 While He spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live." 19So Jesus arose and followed him, and so did His disciples. (skip woman part)

23When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd wailing, 24He said to them, "Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping." And they ridiculed Him. 25But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose. 26And the report of this went out into all that land.

Once God saw the hunger that was in you, he didn’t stop there.

He saw you wanting to touch- hem ---- recognized you “called you out” gave you more than you asked for.

Next God took you by the hand, and said “Arise”

Step out of everyday Christianity

Rise above what you are, let me make you alive

See when God called you, you weren’t dead you were sleeping

He’s given you a new vision of who he is

Your job is to lead his sheep to see who he is. With the giftings you have been given.

Matthew 9

27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, "Son of David, have mercy on us!"

28And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?"

They said to Him, "Yes, Lord."

29Then He touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith let it be to you." 30And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, "See that no one knows it." 31But when they had departed, they spread the news about Him in all that country.

Many times already, and many times to come God’s going to ask you,

“So you believe I am able to do this.”

You have but one answer. “Yes Lord.” (Pose different questions from God)

You will find that according to your faith, your eyes will be opened

To revelation

To knowledge

To wisdom

To unity

It is only with open eyes, that you can lead God’s people.

God does not give his sheep, blind shepherds.

So tonight we acknowledge, and affirm what God has done in you.

You have sought after him

You have received more than you asked for
