Summary: The mature children of God in Christ Jesus, the church or called out ones, the body of the Anointed One and the Anointing, are the hope for the people of all nations in the Earth.
The body of Christ is made up of all people that have made Jesus Christ the Savior and Lord of their lives. The word, Christ, translated from the New Testament Greek means, “the Anointed One and the Anointing”. The word, anoint, means, “to rub on one with oil”. Oil in the Bible is symbolic of the Holy Ghost. The word, anointing, is defined from the Bible in Isaiah 10:27 to mean, “the power of God that destroys all yokes and removes all burdens”. So, we can now see that the phrase, “the body of Christ”, means, “the body of the Anointed One and of the power of God that destroys all yokes and removes all burdens”. That power from God is upon all believers to do the works of Jesus in His name by getting the lost ones saved, the sick ones healed, the bound ones delivered, the empty and dry ones filled with the Holy Ghost and fire of God, the babes in Christ established in the Word of God, and all believers as disciples of the Lord.
It is time for the church, or body of Christ, to be the salt and light that she is called to be from the Word of God. The Greek New Testament word for church is “ecclesia” which means, “the Lord’s called out ones”. First Peter 2:9-10 elaborates on who the church really is by saying, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy”.
Believers in Christ that are faithfully following Him in all things in life are also known as sons, or mature children, of God. Romans 8:18-21 indicates how all of creation looks to the mature children of God to bring full release and liberty to it by saying, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God”.
Revelation 2:25-26 speaks of the mature children of God in Christ Jesus having absolute authority in the realm of the Spirit of God over all nations by saying, “But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations”.
Isaiah 60:1-5 speaks of people in all nations seeing the light and glory of the Lord upon the mature children of God and being converted to Jesus Christ by saying, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee”.
So, in summary, we see that the mature children of God in Christ Jesus, the church or called out ones, the body of the Anointed One and the Anointing, are the hope for the people of all nations in the Earth. Amen.
