2 Corinthians 5:20: "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors…”

The term "AMBASSADOR" is a political one, signifying a representative sent by a head of state to a foreign land. In this sense, Christians represent the Kingdom of Heaven and speak on behalf of King Jesus. The Bible doesn’t say that only pastors, preachers carry that role…..no…..no…..every Christian, I reiterate every believer who calls Jesus as His Father and Saviour is called to be an ‘ambassador for Christ’, be it: parent, teacher, or employee. We are called to represent Christ in this fallen world.

Friend, many of us dash to Church, wear the best clothes and then run out of service, run to the car parking area to now dash to the mutton stall. This is the Sunday agenda of every Christian; however, God tells us that we are Christ's ambassadors. Hello everybody!

Being an ambassador is not just about words; but living it out in our daily life. How do we react when we see someone in our office into an adulterous relationship, or you find them daringly loot office materials like computer hardware, you find them betraying the office manager – most of us look the other side. Don’t we? However, we can gently point out the mistake and make them understand because we are Christ's ambassadors. Back while working for a multinational bank, when I found a girl having an affair with two men, I corrected her, she obeyed. You were not saved to get promotions and increments only or to live a luxurious life, you were saved and water baptised because you are Christ's ambassadors. Hello everyone!

You cannot be dumb and silly, you are instructed to be "wise as snakes and innocent as doves". There would be lot of challengers, therefore we got to be shrewd and smart, at the same time kind and pure hearted because we are Christ's ambassadors!

Volunteer at church, help your pastor, lead a prayer cell, do something for Christ because the need is more….

Remember today you are not a mere Christian but you Christ's ambassadors!!!
