All Sufficiency In All Things
Contributed by Kenneth Trent on Nov 19, 2002 (message contributor)
Summary: This outline deals with some of the great ways in which we have "all sufficiency". We are blessed by merely "touching the hem of this garment."
ALL SUFFICIENCY IN ALL THINGS
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." II Corinthians 9:8.
How do you describe the extent of a promise so absolutely wonderful? Admittedly, any attempt will fall far short of a comprehensive portrayal. We will be blessed by merely “touching the hem of this garment”!
I. AN ALL-SUFFICIENT SAVIOR:
"Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25
“And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation.” Hebrews 5:9.
II. AN ALL-SUFFICIENT PROVIDER:
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." Psalm 23:1
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be addit to you." Matthew 6:33
III. AN ALL-SUFFICIENT LOVE:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.
"By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him."
I John 4:9.
V. AN ALL-SUFFICIENT FOUNDATION:
"For no other foundation can anyone lay that that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ." I Corinthians 3:11.
"Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture: Behold I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame. Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious." I Peter 2:6-7.
