Plan for: Thanksgiving | Advent | Christmas
God calls us to step out of our comfort zones and join His mission to bless and redeem the world. We are to live out our faith in every aspect of life and be a blessing to others.
Hey guys, All Saints’ Day is like a big family reunion where we remember all the cool people of faith who came before us. It's like we're in this epic relay race, and they've passed the baton to us. Just like God called Abraham to step out of his comfort zone and be a blessing to others, we're also invited to join this adventure. God's already on the move, and we're called to step out of our comfort zones to make a difference in the world.
God's already on the move, and we're called to step out of our comfort zones to make a difference in the world.
Imagine you're playing a video game, and you've got this super cool character with all these amazing abilities. But instead of using them, you just stay in the safe zone, not taking any risks or going on any quests. That's not how the game is meant to be played, right? That's what it's like when we stay in our comfort zones and don't join God's mission.
Being "missional" is like being on a mission in a video game. It's living in a way that's all about God's mission in the world. God's on a mission to fix the world, and we're invited to join in. To be missional is to see every part of life as a chance to join God's mission.
God called Abraham to leave behind what was familiar and comfortable. In the same way, God is calling us today to leave behind the familiar and embrace a new way of being the church.
The church of the future isn't about a specific place or event, but about a way of life. It's about a group of people who live out their faith in every part of life. This shift is what God is doing in the world today, and we're called to embrace it.
Abraham's call to leave his comfort zone and go to a new land is a reminder that we, too, are called to go where God leads us. We may not always know where we're going, but we're called to trust and obey. We're like explorers on an adventure, always ready to go wherever God calls us.
We've got to be willing to leave our comfort zones and embrace the unknown. This means letting go of control and trusting in God's leading.
God blessed Abraham so he could be a blessing to others. In the same way, we're blessed by God to bless the world around us. God's ultimate goal is to bless the whole world, and we're called to be a part of that mission.
Throughout the Bible, we see examples of God working beyond the boundaries of the people of God. God is at work in the lives of people from different backgrounds and cultures. We're called to recognize and join in God's work wherever it may be happening.
So, what does this mean for us? It means stepping out of our comfort zones and joining God's mission. It means being a blessing to others and participating in God's work in the world. It means being open to God's leading, even when it's scary or uncomfortable.
God, we're ready to join your mission. Help us to step out of our comfort zones and go where you lead us. Help us to be a blessing to others and to join in your work in the world. Amen.
