Introduction

Greetings, beloved in Christ. It is a joy to be together again, gathered in the name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. How wonderful it is to be in the company of fellow believers, to share in the fellowship of God's love, to bask in the warmth of His grace. Today, we find ourselves standing on the precipice of a profound truth, a truth that is as old as time itself, yet as fresh and vibrant as the morning sun.

Our topic today resonates deeply within each of our hearts. It is a topic that speaks to our human condition, to our shared experiences, our collective struggles, and our individual triumphs. It is about brokenness and the need for restoration. It is about building on the foundation of Jesus. It is about becoming restored through Jesus.

Brokenness and the Need for Restoration

In the world we live in, it's not hard to see the signs of brokenness. It's in the news headlines, in the faces of the people we pass on the street, and sometimes, it's in our hearts. We see it in the form of pain, suffering, and injustice. We see it in the form of broken relationships, shattered dreams, and unfulfilled promises. We see it in the form of sin, which separates us from God and each other.

This brokenness is not part of God's original design for us. When God created the world, He declared it to be good. He created us in His image, to live in perfect relationship with Him and with each other. But when sin entered the world, it brought with it brokenness. It fractured our relationship with God and with each other. It introduced pain, suffering, and death into our world.
