Mummy!

Luke 7:45”You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet.”

As we were waiting in the signal, I saw a transgender woman approach our car for money, I was muttering within myself and looked at here with disgust, she came close to me and said, ‘mummy, mummy give me some money!’ My grumpy face broke into a smile. Suddenly after hearing her call me mummy, my heart softened and I asked her, ’do you know Jesus and have you been to church’, I was certainly stunned by the response, she started clapping her hands in the middle of the traffic and sang a Christian song. I was floored! I shared more about Jesus with her and gave her a small amount of money. Gladly she accepted and said that she would certainly go to church. I kept looking at her long after she had left that place……….the magic word ‘mummy’ did the trick of reaching my heart!

True, fond, unadulterated and pristine love certainly moves our Lord! After a hard day of teaching the kids at our Abide School , serving the food and finishing some important work, I returned back home totally bushed. My daughter thought that I would certainly hit the pillow, instead I locked the door to pray! I tell you, from the moment I knelt down to pray, I felt the thick anointing of God and I was weeping filled with love for Him. He notices the efforts you make…………….He watches the sacrifices that you make for His sake. He looks at the humiliation that you endure, the patience with which you wait, the tears that flow, the angst that you try to cover…..He knows it all! Rewards are reserved for the faithful ones who persevere!

After a full one hour of soaking in His presence and with no petition but just pouring out of love, I left His presence. Something amazing happened after that!

When I cook they said it was awesome! Standing in the middle of the kitchen I knew He was there helping me dish out something good. Might sound weird, but I almost felt Him helping me out at every step. When I was with my school kids, they seem to obey instantly, when I spoke to my children, they listened and admired, when I preached at church, the anointing spread like aroma and filled the place. As I walked in my colony, people spoke gently to me, even the street dog in my colony seemed to wag its tail at me……Hey, what’s happening, I wondered! I got the answer! This was divine aftermath after a love session with God!

God is moved by whole-hearted, full-blown love! When Mary took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. Jesus was moved by her love! When Simon said, ‘she is a sinner’, Jesus said, ‘she has been non-stop kissing and anointing me with her tears and therefore her sins are forgiven.’ (Luke 7:37-48)
