Advent And Christmas: A Key Message For The World

Would you agree that Christmas is a time of year when a very important message to the world can easily get buried or missed?

Would you agree we can get so excited about

4: Mulled Wine

and – most of all

5: My Amazon Christmas Wish list

...that we can miss the ‘Reason for the Season’.

I believe that in the midst of something so familiar as Christmas there is a key message for you, for me and for the whole world. It’s a key message for us all and yet so many of us are missing it or miss-hearing it.

For some of us our parents taught us from a young age about the Good News of Jesus the Son of God coming into the world, but like the man in the video the message needs to be unlocked – even from within something so familiar as our Christmas preparations.

For some of us the message of Jesus and the message of Joy coming into the world is a mystery; but whoever you are and whatever your background I believe the message and the invitation of Advent and Christmas is the same:

Joy to the world the Lord has come! Let earth receive her King. Let every heart prepare him room; and heaven and nature sing. Let every heart prepare him room; and heaven and nature sing!
