Ruth 1:3 (Amplified Bible)
But Elimelech, who Naomi’s husband, died, and she was left with her two sons.
Ruth 1:3 (King James Version)
And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.
A. Elimelech, the husband of Naomi, died.
"But Elimelech, who Naomi’s husband, died,"
Elimelech's story was the same as the story of the prophet under prophet Elisha who died and left her wife and her two sons, but with an additional bonus, that is they're living in debts. Such are the miseries of this world that when you live here you will feel the pain and the misery because GOD is not the god of this world.
2 Kings 4:1 (Amplified Bible)
NOW THE wife of a son of the prophets cried to Elisha, Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. But the creditor has come to take my two sons to be his slaves.
2 Corinthians 4:4 (Amplified Bible)
For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.
And only through the exit by way of death can deliver us from them all. Don't pray this prayer that you will be delivered from evils because the LORD JESUS might take your life away to be with Him. But rather, pray for strength to overcome all these temptations and trials.
Psalms 34:19 (Amplified Bible)
Many evils confront the [consistently] righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (Amplified Bible)
For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.
Remember the LORD JESUS will always be with us even in the fiery furnace.
Daniel 3:24-25 (Amplified Bible)
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king [saw and] was astounded, and he jumped up and said to his counselors, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered, True, O king.
