Summary: You will be rewarded according to your faithfulness and sincerity. I challenge you, He would never fail!

Actions are weighed!

1 Samuel 2: 3” Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

The Bible says, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and here we see Hannah pouring out her gratitude towards God for the glorious goodness received from Him. What makes a person go berserk for God? Brokenness! A broken and contrite heart is able to praise God discarding inhibitions and traditions. We are able to prostrate at the feet of the Lord unashamedly.

After prolonged suffering and pain, when I delivered my baby boy miraculously by the grace of God, I was brought to the room. I saw my little son wrapped in a shawl and kept in the bed. He looked gorgeous; pink and cute. Though physically weak and just out of the delivery ward, I started narrating the entire incident of God’s Hand during the delivery to my family around. People tried to hush me and silence me but I kept going. I guess Hannah was under the same sedation of passionate love for God. Besides we can see prophetic utterance in her thanksgiving praise to God. Well, in the above scripture, we see her bold stand against the enemies and her knowledge of the power of God. She says, ‘talk no more!’ Wow, that’s powerful! There were days she had to endure the torment and tantalizing verbal jabs of Penninah (the other wife of her husband) when she nagged her but there came a day when Hannah was able to shut the mouth of the lions. Dear friends, depend on God who would defend you! Do you hear me? Read on…

Further, Hannah goes on to sing that He is a God of knowledge. He knows everything –

inside -out. Hebrews 4:13 says, “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” Friend, if only each one of us have a clear picture of the greatness of God then we would not be brooding over things; we would be able to sing like Hannah. Agree? May be your side-tracked during promotions, nobody recognizes you, you are ignored and cornered, you are being jeered at by people, ignored and rejected – whatever; trust God to work out things for you.

The final words are an ace! His unerring justice: By him actions are weighed! He would never make a mistake. He is a righteous Judge! The actions of men are in the balances of His judgment, so that He will render to every man according to his work. Friends, hear me out today! Your actions are weighed!

You will be rewarded according to your faithfulness and sincerity. I challenge you, He would never fail! While conducting afternoon prayer cell at the terrace of our office, I warned the people that they should be in their respective work spots at sharp 2 pm after lunch break; failing which I do not entertain them for the next meeting. People did listen to me. Today I follow the same rule during my prayer meetings. We don’t wait for people to stroll in; if I announce 9 am then whether there is crowd or not, we start. God has surely rewarded my faithfulness with His goodness! Your actions are weighed!
