Summary: Faith in Jesus Christ gives us unlimited access to the grace of God.
Access to the Grace of God
1 Corinthians 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain”
Grace is one of the important and most misunderstood words in the Bible-
What is Grace?????
Definition- Grace means unmerited favor- We are saved by grace alone- None of us deserve it!
It means when we deserve an F
God gives us an A-
Grace is a gift. We don’t earn it or work for it.
We simply receive it by faith-
Eph. 3:3-6
"...That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the Gospel."
We are made partakers of His grace and fellow heirs of the same body.
What is a partaker? To take part of the same., to use, to become one with.
We become one with Christ and one another through grace.
Romans 5:1-2 1
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
“By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
The meaning of Access- the act of bringing to, a moving to,
approach, admittance, right of entry, a ticket.
God has Given us Access to His Grace-
1. Unlimited Access to God’s Presence-
Rom. 5:2 "By whom we also have access by faith unto this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God."
What do this mean?
We can come before the Lord at any time - any place
In the O.T. only the High Priest had access to God … only once a year.
But grace gives unlimited access to His presence.
His Grace gives us Legal right to His Presence.
2. Unlimited Access to God’s Provision-
Ps. 68:19 "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation."
3. Unlimited Access to God’s Promises-
"The promises of God are in Him (Christ) Yea and amen, to the glory of God."
There are over 5,000 promises that God made to Believers in the Word. The Grace of God gives us access to all the promises of God
4. Unlimited Access to God’s Power & Anointing-
Acts 1:8 "Ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you."
We have all the power & anointing that we need by the grace of God!
