Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. - Romans 15:7

The storms of this life are inevitable, circumstances of life along with a cosmic spiritual battle are all around us. At times we can feel it raging in our lives, the pressures, choices, commitments, all seem overwhelming. At times we are feel not able to cope under such pressures, such weaknesses come, where we make wrong decisions, hurt others and in the end become something we even thought could never happen to us. Apostle Paul encourages the believers in Rome to accept those who were "weak" failing or even saying things from a hurt heart. He speaks of Christ himself who was insulted and spoken against as he simply followed his Heavenly Father. We will never be able to stand with forgiveness in our hearts towards others if we do not realize we stand on the foundation of Christ in our lives and his example to us. The hordes of demonic activity at times can take advantage of those who are wounded by others in the body of Christ. When we allow any hurt we can be used of the enemy to sow discord into God's work and His body.

The Apostle pleads with believers who currently are not under great pressures to help those who are. To forgive them, help them and support them. Accepting is the word that is used in the passage and this speaks of treating as equal and not less then. If we can accept those who disagree with us, who are hurt and full of misunderstandings, we must treat them like Christ himself and love them as part of his body. No matter even how brethren can be used of the enemy even to sow discord, we must love such brethren for in the end we could be in a similar situation. No one is better we all need each other, God is not on the side of one of his children but loves all equally and desires to see all grow in him and become more like His Son Jesus. Has Christ accepted you even at your worst state? Accept others. Leave the consequences to God, this will bring praise to our Lord. He is in control.
