VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. CHRIST loved righteouness and hated lawlessness

"You have loved righteousness [You have delighted in integrity, virtue, and uprightness in purpose, thought, and action] and You have hated lawlessness (injustice and iniquity)."

Psalms 33:5 (Amplified Bible)

33:5 He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the loving-kindness of the Lord.

Psalms 40:8 (Amplified Bible)

40:8 I delight to do Your will, O my God; yes, Your law is within my heart.

Be like CHRIST that He loved righteousness and hated lawlessness. Have the heart of King David within us.

Zechariah 8:17 (Amplified Bible)

8:17 And let none of you think or imagine or devise evil or injury in your hearts against his neighbor, and love no false oath, for all these things I hate, says the Lord.

B. FATHER GOD anointed CHRIST with oil of gladness

"Therefore God, [even] Your God (Godhead), has anointed You with the oil of exultant joy and gladness"

Isaiah 61:1 (Amplified Bible)

61:1 THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,

John 3:34 (Amplified Bible)

3:34 For since He Whom God has sent speaks the words of God [proclaims God’s own message], God does not give Him His Spirit sparingly or by measure, but boundless is the gift God makes of His Spirit!

When we got born again, we see ourselves as GOD sees the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Whoever and whatever happened to CHRIST happened to us. Can we say this to ourselves, out loud? "God's Spirit is on me; he's chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, To set the burdened and battered free"

Luke 4:18 (The Message)

4:18 God's Spirit is on me; he's chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, To set the burdened and battered free,

C. CHRIST set above and beyond His companions

"above and beyond Your companions"

CHRIST is above all of us as His brethren.

Hebrews 2:11 (The Message)

2:11 Since the One who saves and those who are saved have a common origin, Jesus doesn't hesitate to treat them as family,

1 Corinthians 1:9 (The Message)

1:9 God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that.

1 John 1:3 (The Message)

1:3 We saw it, we heard it, and now we're telling you so you can experience it along with us, this experience of communion with the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ.

IX. CONCLUSION:

We are identical with CHRIST while in this world.

1 John 4:17 (The Message)

4:17 This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we're free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ's.
