Summary: Never let us assume that we are in control of our lives, because God has the final answer.
A Word from God
What I am about to share with each of you this week, to some might seem odd, unreal or unbelievable and many will acknowledge it to something just ordinary. But to me anything so divine and real can’t be contained in our lives without sharing it with another. In “1 Cor. 2:9-10, But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. Man can know nothing of God except that which God chooses to communicate to us. God is certainly the object and the subject of Divine Revelation. In Biblical times he made personal appearances to men, taking the form of an angel, or a human being or appearing in a cloud, in fire, or a bright light. God even appeared to men in visions and other times he revealed himself in a dream. God has chosen down through the years to communicate with us in many different ways.
This past week I had found a small plaque that I had misplaced for a long time and suddenly it appeared, and on it, it says, “Be patient, God’s not finished with me yet”. To those of you that know me, you certainly know that this is the truth. But during the rest of the day while many things were pondering across my mind, one thing especially was prominent, I was thinking about perfection and all the things I had seen in my life that looked so perfect and sinless. In “1 John 1:8,10 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we say that we have
not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us”. I was remembering when I was in the service in Amarillo, Texas when I had looked up into the sky and saw the most beautiful white clouds in a background of wonderful blue. And just this past week the recent snow was so beautiful and just so perfect to the eye. In short I was thinking about perfection as we can see it and acknowledge it to be so wonderful and pleasing to ourselves. When from the very God that created us, through the Holy Spirit, God spoke to me crystal clear and said, “Richard if you’re looking for something perfect in this world it doesn’t exist, you will only find perfection in my Son and through My Son Jesus Christ.” And for a long period of time I felt peace and a wonderful presence of God, like I’ve never felt it before. God had revealed his true presence to me through a distinct revelation. Yes He is perfection, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
I continued to think for several days on what had just happen in my life. There are many of us today that live on the value of a perfect life, a perfect family, a perfect community, or a perfect Pastor. We search the world around for many things, each of us in our own way. And I believe that many of us live to please man and his standards of what is perfect, or should be.
But only Christ is perfection and absolute perfect. Perfection of God is set before man as an ideal and aim but cannot be attained in this life. Through the Grace of God it can only be achieved through the Second Coming of Christ, when we that know him and have loved him will be as he is.
