I. EXORDIUM:

Do you know the way out?

II. AUDIENCE PROFILE:

Believers

III. OBJECTIVES:

To show the way out of temptation is the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

IV. TEXT:

1 Corinthians 10:13 (Amplified Bible)

For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Common temptation for mankind

"For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man"

1. Because we are in this world, we are still in the flesh.

2 Corinthians 4:4 (Amplified Bible)

For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.

2 Peter 1:13 (Amplified Bible)

I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle (tent, body), to stir you up by way of remembrance,

We are stirred up because of our remembrance of GOD's Words.

B. GOD is Faithful

"But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature]"

1. He will not let you be tempted beyond your limitation.

"and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure"

2. He will provide a way out so that we can stand up under it.

"but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently"

a. GOD will provide specific instructions thru the HOLY SPIRIT.

Isaiah 30:21 (Amplified Bible)

And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.

Isaiah 42:16 (Amplified Bible)

And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known. I will make darkness into light before them and make uneven places into a plain. These things I have determined to do [for them]; and I will not leave them forsaken.

If we humbly admit before GOD that we are blind and we need Him to guide and lead us in paths we don't know.

b. GOD have already provided His Great Promises

Hebrews 2:18 (Amplified Bible)

For because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted (tested and tried), He is able [immediately] to run to the cry of (assist, relieve) those who are being tempted and tested and tried [and who therefore are being exposed to suffering].

James 4:7 (Amplified Bible)

So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.

2 Peter 1:4 (Amplified Bible)

By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.

The world is into it's moral decay and GOD does not want us to partake that, but instead, He wants us to partake of His Divine Nature. (Love, Peace, Righteousness)

IX. CONCLUSION:

Things of this world becomes evil to us if we desire them. Desire GOD, and things of this world becomes good to us.

Genesis 1:4 (Amplified Bible)
