The sermon introduction discusses the Seed family's annual vacation to Forest Home Christian Conference Center, highlighting the various activities and experiences they enjoy there.
Every summer, except this one, the Seed family takes a vacation to Forest Home Christian Conference Center, up in the San Bernardino mountains. Forest Home has great music, great speakers, and great family activities, like their pool, their lake, their craft cabin, ropes course, zipline, mini-golf course – all of which we get to do together.
We look forward to these seven days all year long. My grandkids like it so much, they call it “cousin camp.” Several months before camp begins, Forest Home sends us an itinerary that spells out what all will be going on each day, so we can anticipate and prepare, and make sure we bring the right clothes and shoes and swim gear, and the right frame of mind.
Having the itinerary helps us prepare and makes the week more meaningful when we get there. The Bible says that one day soon, we will go through a seven year period called “The Tribulation,” or the time of distress, just before the return of Christ.
In some ways, it will be a terrible time, as God judges the people of the world. In some ways, it will be a terrible time for believers, as persecutions and martyrdoms will follow. In some ways, it will be an incredible time, as unbelievers turn to Christ, and as believers are sealed from God’s wrath in the midst of all the storm and chaos.
Having the itinerary helps us prepare and makes the week more meaningful when we get there.
Open to Revelation 1, and take out a pen and notes. I’ll put all the scriptures up on the screen for you, but you may find it more meaningful if you have them in your hand while I speak.

The Tribulation is a seven-year period that ends with the return of Jesus.
Walk closely with Jesus. Encourage others about walking with Jesus. And Pray and share God’s Good News.
Will you walk with Him, and trust Him? Even into Tribulation?
