Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that for everything there is a season. This is the season for us to make war! We are in desperate need of men of God like Nathan who will rise up and take risks for the King of Kings. We are in desperate need of men and women who aren’t "Chocolate Soldiers"- CT Studd, but are ready to battle for Christ’s name each morning and evening!
David was a man of God who won various battles for the glory of God- then he had a major fall. WHY?
1- David didn’t go to war, he stayed at home.
2- David didn’t guard his heart- he tempted sin.
3- When David fell he didn’t get up- he tried to cover his sin.
Let’s learn from David and instead of staying home on our couch watching TBN- let’s get out there and get to war. If we aren’t battling we are setting ourselves up for a fall!
