A Stinky Situation
Ecclesiastes 10: 1-3
Introduction
Wise men have to take heed of being guilty, at fault or in the wrong of any instance of recklessness; for a little recklessness can be a great blemish to one that God has placed value on and is in reputation, status or standing for wisdom and honour, and is as wounding to your good name as dead flies are to a sweet fragrance, not only spoiling the sweetness of it, but making it to send forth a stinking smell.
1Dead flies in perfume make it stink, and a little foolishness decomposes (Crumbles, Decays) much wisdom.
2 Wise thinking leads to right living; Stupid thinking leads to wrong living.
3 Fools on the road have no sense of direction. The way they walk tells the story: "There goes the fool again!"
A dead fly is food for another creature – When it’s mixed in with your praise it sends a stench or an (Unpleasant Smell) to the nostrils of God.
NKJV Ecclesiastes 10: 1-3
1 Dead flies putrefy[a] the perfumer’s ointment, And cause it to give off a foul odor; So does a little folly to one respected for wisdom and honor.
2 A wise man’s heart is at his right hand, But a fool’s heart at his left.
3 Even when a fool walks along the way, He lacks wisdom, And he shows everyone that he is a fool.
Dead Flies (Flies of Death) – (Dormant) (Stuck) (Dead) Allowed to lie around and not produce, even a fly if it’s around long enough will leave a lava that turn into a maggot.
Maggots are produced when something has decayed or things that have laid around so long that they appear to have Died.
Ecclesia – Church or Called out ones
Oinment - (Oil) - A perfumed Oil – Sweet Smelling Offering
Vs. 1True wisdom is true honour, and will gain a man a reputation, which is like a box of precious ointment, pleasing and very valuable.
The reputation that you’re pregnant with can be has pain attached to it and out of that pain it birthed wisdom, nonetheless can be lost by being reckless and unresponsive to your true self
Those who make it their business to be so called perfect have need to walk very cautiously, and to give up the appearances of evil, and the approaches or the direction of it, because “ All Eyes are on Me” (Tupac) Most of the time waiting for you to stumble. Never give the ammunition and the Gun to shoot you with.
Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Vs. 2
Right Hand = Honor – Favor - Authority – Power Matthew 26:64, Luke 22:69
Left Hand = Limitless to its ability
Vs. 3
Proverb 13:16 Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.
Proverbs 18:2 A fool has no delight In understanding, But in expressing his own heart.
