A SPIRIT WALK

Gal 5;16-26

Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone in every church

Could get along with each other in a Christ like manner.

Or better still – wouldn’t it be nice if every church got

Together and prayed for each other (the Baptist for the

Pentecostal and the Methodist and so forth) Man that

Would totally drive the Devil Mad now wouldn’t it??

If We can have and keep a SPIRIT WALK everything

Will go so much better for us all. We must walk

In the spirit with JESUS CHRIST.

STAND AND READ 16-26

VS 18 SAID WHAT?

If ye be led by the spirit ye are not under the Law.

We are not supposed to be trying to play tug of war

With the Spirit of the Lord!!! We as Christians are

To be led by the Spirit…

When we yield to the HOLY SPIRIT. This turns

us away from the yearnings and sinfulness

of daily life..

Us Christians will decide if we will be led by the

Flesh or by the Spirit….

If We are led by Fleshly Motives

Then we are lacking A Whole LOT….

But

If we are led by the SPIRIT then we are

Not under the Law…

WHAT?? FAITH

YES FAITH

FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

Let me talk about the WORKS OF THE FLESH

Which are evidence!!!

ADULTERY – I THINK We all know what this one means (keep in mind its within the bonds of marriage)

And is one of the ten commandments

FORNICATION – Having a mate or having sexual

Relations outside the bonds of marriages

UNCLEANNESS – Is to be Defiled – Foul – Unfit

Back in the old Testament The Priest was to teach

The people the difference.

LASCIVIOUSNESS – OR Licentiousness – un-disciplined and un – restrained behavior, especially a flagrant disregard of sexual restraints or just plain

OUTRAGEOUS CONDUCT.

IDOLATRY – Is not only the worship of a graven

Image (which is against the 10 commandments)

But putting our main affection upon something other

Than GOD…

WITCHCRAFT – OR SORCERY – Occult practices

Fortune telling – common among the Pagan Nations

Pagans are followers of False gods

They delight in sensual pleasures and material things

WORKS OF THE FLESH cont.

HATRED – Strong dislike – Disregard – Indifference

Toward someone or something.

VARIANCE – Strife or Discord.

EMULATIONS – This is very plainJEALOUSY

WRATH – The personal manifestation of God’s

Holy Moral Character in Judgement against Sin

Or Gods anger against Sin.

STRIFE – Selfish Ambition

SEDITIONS – Rebellion against authority of a

State or other lawful Government

HERESIES – False Doctrines or Teachings which

Denies one of the Foundational beliefs of the Church.

ENVYINGS – A feeling of resentment and Jealousy

Toward another

MURDERS – To KILL

DRUNKENNESS – Over Drinking

REVELLINGS – Over Eating or Gluttony.

Verse 21 tells us;

I have also told you in time past that they which do

Such things SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM

OF GOD!!!

GAL 6:8 SAYS – For He that Soweth

To his Flesh REAP CORRUPTION: BUT

He that soweth to the spirit shall of the Spirit

Reap life everlasting!!

Now the whole point of tonights Sermon A SPIRITWALK.

1st corinthians 10;13 says

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to esape that ye may be able to bear it!!!

Not that God will allow us to escape temptation but

Land safely on the other side of it!!!

SO WHAT IS OUR HIGHEST PEAK IN A SPIRITWALK????

Its faithfulness!!!

We shouldn’t want anything that the devil has to offer.

His interest rates are very High!!!!!

Are you willing to buy now and pay later from the Devil??

I don’t know about you but I’m not paying the Devil’s interest rates!!!!I’m not paying him nothing!!!!!

We should want everything that the Lord has to

offer us. The Lord offers us the Fruits of the Spirit to assist

us in our SPIRITWALK.

The Fruits of the spirit are the signs of God’s

presence in your heart!!!

We have to learn how the peace of God can

flow out of our Spirit!!!!!

Gal chapter 5;22&23 – Begins with

Love - We must be on guard at all times because Satan

Will steal our Fruits

LOVE - Is the Peace Willing to give without

Thought of Return.

JOY - is the Gladness of Heart

PEACE - is our mind being free of worry and fear

Are you starting to see why we must always

Be on guard—HANG WITH ME NOW

LONG SUFFERING – Our patience in bearing anger
