“A Shift In Our Focus”
Phil 3:7-10
The first thing I want you to understand is there is a Realm of knowing Christ that is restricted to people who live double Lives.
One of the reasons most people do not enjoy the fullness of God, is because they have failed in some way - to let go of those things Jesus has set them free from.
Gal. 5:1
I want you understand that God will never ask you to give any thing up without giving you have something to replace it with.
He asks for that addiction, he gives you strength.
He asks for that Pain, he gives you healing
He asks for that Doubt, he gives you assurance.
In understanding this principle, some decisions must be made on our Part.
1. Determine to move ahead of where you are now:
You have to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God has more for you than what you can ever expect, and that he will come through>>>>>
And declare it to
God, Satan, other’s and Yourself
How do I do that?
1. You have to ask your self, “Do I really want to know him’?
Do I really want to know Christ in ways I have yet to experience?
Or do you want to just come to church for cheap entertainment?
Are you looking for excitement or do you really want everything God has for you?
See that is easy to say, but that is half of the struggle.
The real challenge, is to get people to see God over their own desires.
2. Declare that your past failures are dead:
What changes when you decide to know Christ?
Everything.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Example: Your conversation-
If you have asked Jesus in your life and your conversation hasn’t changed, there is something wrong with your Relationship.
See, when you get the right focus it will change everything.
Like your friends, because people with the wrong focus don’t want to be around you any more.
If you really want to know who you are look at what you attract.
People will always treat you like you treat your self.
Question? Is your life a constant Pursuit of Jesus?
Ask your self this question,
Who Am I in Christ?
3.Discover your Distinct Design:
Only God gives us a purpose to live.
The Privilege of Knowing Jesus in this Life.
God wants you to be you. Not any one else.
Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
You need to start asking your self some tough Questions.
If you don’t know who you are, you are probably living someone else’s expectation of you.
It is like we become what others tell us to become.
But I have to warn you this ----- that when ever you begin to ask yourself these questions The enemy will always show up.
The Greatest enemy of man is his misconception of himself.
He will keep you confused about what God expects of you,
What is normal and what is abnormal.
What is natural and what is unnatural.
It is the root of his dilemma.
Can I tell you, ?
Only when you are acting like Jesus are you normal,
Church I hope you understand that Satan rules by your Ignorance. (Your Stupidity)
The less you know the more Satan rules your life.
What you don’t know is Killing you. Hosea 4:6
Whatever you ignorance is that is your area of destruction.
How do we fix it?
Prayer? No, we always just want to pray. The children of Israel where being run down by the Egyptians and they were facing the red sea and mountains on both sides, and the bible say’s they stopped to Pray. And God said this is no time to pray get moving.
While you are sitting there patting your foot life is passing you by--------
1. If your are in financial ruin, - You need to learn how to budget.
2. Sickness – stop eating Junk God has set health laws-
Don’t say God heal me, and go right back to your own destruction.
3. Marriage- Read books on relationships, get around godly couples,
Peter 1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with [them] according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
He is for us Church, stop worrying about your trials & temptation, Give it God.
Stop saying your life is a mistake.
