"A Queen's Desire"
2 Chr. 9:1-12
We are the Bride of Christ, and we will rule and reign with Christ in the Mill. Paul
said, 2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have
espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
Every Christian can Relate to "A Queen's Desire" by examining the Truth's
concearning The Queen of Sheba.
1) Why She Came; It was Troubling v. 1
1A) She was Troubled over what she Heard
Luke 2:46-47 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple,
sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And
all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
1B) She was Troubled over her Humanity
1 Corinthians 2:13-14 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's
wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with
spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are
foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1C) She was Troubled over her Heart
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ
Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:6-8 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life
and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the
law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please
God.
2) What She Heard; It was True v. 2-3b
2A) The Truth, It was Impressive
John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue
in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the
truth shall make you free.
2B) The Truth, It was Irrisistable
1 Corinthians 1:22-24 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after
wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto
the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks,
Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
2C) The Truth, It was Impartial
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me.
3) What she Saw; It was Tantalizing v. 3c-8 (Fascinating)
3A) She was Fascinated by The Wisdom
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools
despise wisdom and instruction.
1 Corinthians 1:25 the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness
of God is stronger than men.
3B) She was Fascinated by The Witnesses
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:
and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
3C) She was Fascinated by The Wealth
.1 Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for
them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit
searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
4) What she Gave; It was Telling v. 9-11
4A) It was Rare v. 9b
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that
ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by
the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God.
4B) It was Remarkable v. 9a
Acts 4:32-35 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of
one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was
his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles
witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors
of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every
man according as he had need.
4C) It was Relished v. 11
5) What she Recived; It was Tremendous v. 12
5A) She Recived Peace
John 14:26-27 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father
