To emphasize inviting God into our lives, trusting Him to work in us, and allowing His power and love to transform us, as we play our part in our spiritual growth.

Introduction

Good morning, brothers and sisters. We're going to dive right into the heart of something that we all grapple with in our Christian walk: inviting God into our lives, trusting Him to work in us, and allowing ourselves to be changed and transformed by His power and love.

Let's remind ourselves of the beautiful words from Philippians 2:12-13, "Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose."

The essence of this scripture is that we have a role to play in our spiritual growth, but God is the one who truly does the work in us. As beloved author and preacher, Charles Spurgeon, once said, "Without the Spirit of God, we can do nothing. We are as ships without the wind, branches without sap, and like coals without fire, we are useless."

Let's open this gathering with a word of prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, we invite You into our lives today. We ask that You guide us, mold us and transform us to be more like You. Help us to trust in You fully, knowing that You are working within us for Your good purpose. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
