A NEW LIFE IN JESUS CHRIST
"But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel (Acts 9:15).
A new life puts an end to the former way of life. A new life represents a newly born baby who has come to this world to start a new life. A life of sin and disobedience to God’s word is not a good life at all, until you surrender to Jesus and begin a new life.
"Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are becoming new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Now let us look at Saul of Tarsus in the Bible. He was a troublemaker and a persecutor of God's people, the Christians. Many people became scared of him, but on his way to Damascus, the capital of Syria, to persecute the Christians, he had an encounter with God, and this put an end to his former lifestyle, and he embraced Jesus Christ.
"Saul, Saul, why art thou persecuting me? And Saul said, Who art thou, Lord? and he said, I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting." (Acts 9:4)
God blinded Saul for three days; he repented and became a Christian. He was restored fully by Ananias. He became a light to the Gentiles and wrote many epistles in the Bible.
What is that thing that hooks you to that lifestyle that is against God’s will? Please surrender to Jesus so that you can have peace.
YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN.
There is a place in the spiritual realm where, when someone dies physically, his or her body will go to the spirit world, and you will be judged in heaven according to what you have done on earth.
If you are a born again Christian and you live a holy life, you will definitely make it to heaven, but if you refuse, you may enter hell, where the fire is going to kill someone, and I know that no one will like to die, so we must act fast and accept Jesus as your personal lord and Savior.
Don’t follow the way of sin; avoid evil practices and idolatry; embrace Jesus Christ, and you will have a good life.
ARE YOU PERSECUTED AS A CHRISTIAN?
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33).
Please put your trust in God; he will make a way out of that persecution and deliver you.
Jesus said unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. (John 14:6)
BENEFITS OF A NEW LIFE
There are many benefits to having a new life with Christ. Though Satan wants us to suffer, God’s plan is for us to have great peace.
For I know the thoughts that I have toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11)
1. You will enjoy perfect freedom.
Those that belong to the evil kingdoms don’t have rest of mind because of their ways, which are wicked before God. Once you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you will have perfect freedom from all the vices of life.
2. You will hate sin and encourage sinners to embrace the new life of Jesus.
Jesus Christ has cleansed you completely from sinful life and brought you out of that infirmity; "He brought me up also out of an awful pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings". (Psalm 40:2).
3. You are set free from all bonds.
Any person who is not making progress in life has a bond to carry on, but with God’s help, that bond will be broken. Everything is possible with God.
"And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing." (Isaiah 10:27)
4. Great Provision is assured.
God will provide for you and take care of your needs. Jesus Christ cares for his people and always provides for their needs. He is a good shepherd.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul; he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. (Psalm 23:1-3)
5. God will give you perfect protection.
God is our refuge and our shield; the Lord of Hosts is His name. He controls all the forces in heaven and on earth and can give us adequate protection at all times, far better than human protection.
