The principal strategy of Satan is to falsify (to distort) God's character and the truth of who we
represent to our Savior. Though the enemy cannot change God, nor can alter our identity and
position in Christ. Nevertheless he tries by deceiving ourselves, making us believe in his lies.
If it happens, then we will fall into a live of misery instead of living in true and victory.
As believers, our purpose must not be to try to do well (in other words to behave ourselves well,
to do good works); but to be saints in the process of becoming as Christ. Change must first
occur inside the person’s spirit and soul, when accepting Jesus as personal Savior, then change
will go to the outside.
Let’s study some aspects of our Christian life that identifies us in Jesus:
1. In his death Romans 6:3, 6; Galatians 2:20 Colossians 3:1-3

The greatest truth that you can possess after knowing God is to know yourself,
acquire your life IN CHRIST.
Did you know? Our Church is one the few institutions that care for the poor, visit the lonely at nursing homes,
hospitals or prisons. We serve the needy, shelter the homeless, cares for the sick, accompany the one that suffers. Be proud to be a Salvationist, it is wonderful to be able to help the spiritual and physical needs of the people.
We know that the cold and hungry person hardly will recognize the love of the Father, that's why in His name we help the one in need
Matthew 25:42-45 “For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or
needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'.”
Captain Joseph McFee was raising funds for a soup kitchen and shelter in the San Francisco waterfront district, c1892-94. He thought of the idea of hanging a large cooking pot on a tripod and put a sign over it: "Keep the pot boiling". So, the first Salvation Army collecting kettle came into being. The idea soon spread, and by 1900 kettles were in use across America for Christmas collections.
