Summary: A simple and very open outline that will encourage and strengthen your congregations hope and faith in Jesus.
A.N.C.H.O.R.E.D. IN JESUS
Heb 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
INTRO:
We live in a time that Paul in 2 Tim. 3:1 described as being dangerous saying, "In the last days perilous times shall come".
We live in an hour in which people are "calling evil good and good evil".
We live in a day in which Jesus said... Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
We are living in a world where "the spirit of antichrist is already at work".
The past appears to have been the best. The present does not look good and the future looks even worse. Jesus said...
Luk 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luk 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
