A memorial to Allen See

1939-2008

By Jesse Bennett

Song:

We gather in this solemn place to remember the life and morn the death of Allen See. Devoted husband, father and grandfather. We do not sorrow as those who have no hope, for our hope is in Jesus Christ.

1) Allen was a wonderful man and loved by many

Born in September 1939

In Paul’s Valley Ok

He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1957

He married Norma on the 4th of July 1958 (he always had a flare for the dramatic!!!)

He retired from Tinker Air Force base where he was an inspector.

Later He worked for Cameron International.

2) He enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling in his R.V. and when he was younger he loved to race motorcycles, every one in his family remembers the trips to Huston Astrodome. But most of all he loved being with his family!!!!

Proceeded in death by his parents: Glen and Pauline See.

He is survived by: His lovely wife:----------------Norma See

His two children:--Greg and Fran See of Canton Michigan

Kendall and Cindi See of Shawnee

His Granddaughter:--- Amanda and Gary Cozart of Shawnee

His two Grand children:--- Braxton and Brayden of Shawnee

His sister:---Glenda and Garland Short of OKC

And several nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

He was a member of the Shawnee Men’s Bowling Association and also a member of Bible Baptist Church, were he attended.

Allen was a Uni-que person, that’s code for unique.

Words can not express to you the love and admiration that I and others have for Allen. But I would like to share a Poem that his Daughter Cindi wrote::

Allen had a special way of doing things:

Allen loved his family dearly and especially his grandchildren. One day he had the opportunity to baby set Braxton---Braxton was very young at the time, he wasn’t walking yet. Braxton’s Mom and dad supplied him with a Baby walker. Well Allen got tired of chasing Braxton, as he wheeled his way around the house getting into trouble. Allen being the Uni-quie man that he was. Tied a rope the Braxton’s Baby walker so he could reel-him-in when necessary.

Allen loved to go driving in his R.V. and on occasion he would fall asleep while driving. Just to make sure everyone was paying attention. There are to Guardian angels on vacation as we speak, now that Allen is with them in paradise.

I would like to share with you Allen testimony.

After many years of prayer by friends and family, Allen finally surrendered his life to Jesus Christ.

Initially when I met Allen he hadn’t surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. There was just something about Allen, even when he was upset with you, you couldn’t help but like the man.

But Jesus Christ performed a miracle in his life. He came to church one day and said “Jesse I’m ready to accept Jesus”. Now remember Allen had a flare for the dramatic after all he married Norma on the 4th of July. The men of the church came forward and prayed over him anointed him and his life immediately began to change.

Right there in the back pew, before the service ever started Allen accepted Jesus as his personal savior. A few weeks later he was baptized in a Horse Trough in the church parking lot. The water was a little warm, Allen was joyful and excited about his decision, He said “ All I need now is a little soap and I can really get clean” . The several children that witnessed the service were inspired by what he had done and started asking questions about what it meant to be baptized.

Allen and I called each other and prayed over the phone. He was a man of God and I loved him so much, and he loved me, I wish I could have gotten to know him better. But because of his decision I will see him again.

If Allen could speak to you now, I believe he would say, “ Dear friends and family please listen to every word that my brother Jesse is about to speak, for if you listen and hear the call I will see you here in Heaven with me a place to wonderful for anyone to describe”.

Psalm 23

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
