Summary: How might Job have qualified for the HOF!
I. Who was Job?
A. He was a Godly man:
1. He was blameless (1)
Psalm 15:2, Proverbs 19:1, 28:18)
2. He was upright (1)

3. He feared God & shunned evil (1)
(Psalm 111:10, Proverbs 8:13,

B. He was a wealthy man:
1. Livestock (3)
2. Servants (3)
3. Greatest in the east (3)
C. He was a family man:
1. 7 sons, 3 daughters (4)
2. Held routine feasts w/ family (4)
3. Looked out for their Spiritual
well being (5)
II. What revealed Job‘s supernatural power?
A. Test # 1
1. Messenger #1: Oxen & donkeys
taken, and servants killed. (14-15)
2. Messenger #2: Sheep and servants
consumed by fire from the sky. (16)
3. Messenger #3: Camels taken and
servants killed. (17)
4. Messenger #4: Sons & Daughters are
killed by storm. (18-19)
B. Test #2: Painful sores from head to toe.

III. The Results!
A. Job never sinned!!!
1. Not after the first test! (22)

B. Job did grieve:

3. He was Spiritually restored:

What are we like now? What would we be like if we encountered Job’s troubles? How would we respond?
