“ HEART CONDITION”
When you hear these words most of the time they speak to you of a weakness, of a disorder, of some kind of difficulty or abnormality of the the heart.
It usually means that the individual with that condition has to make certain adjustments relating to their condition,
*In other words Their life is regulated according to their heart condition.
*They live their live as it relates to and affects their hearts.
David was a man with a heart condition: --
(Fixed)
Lu 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
“Heart is fixed”
Ps 112: 6-8 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. 7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. 8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
Fixed= settled, fastened, prepared, stable, (stability) faithful,
Lu 21: 26Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:
Next David tells us that the expression of a heart that has been fixed, is to sing and give praise.
Ps 57: 7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
Paul said: I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ for it is the power of God, unto salvation.
What Paul is acknowledging is the power of the gospel to fix the heart.
There is no other power on earth that can fix the heart.
Religion, works from the outside, on the outside but Christianity works from the inside out.
It fixes anger, resentment, criticism, prejudice, pride, unforgiveness, rejection, fear, lust, perversion, (how: by taking these things away?/No.) (By Placing his heart in us.)
Eze. 36:26-27 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them .
By giving us his heart and spirit, he means he is giving us his nature.
Just as the old heart = nature produces corresponding fruit
So does the fixed heart, the new heart, the new nature, produce corresponding fruit.
1Sam 10:6 Samuel tells Saul (Thou shalt be turned into another man)
9 God gave him another heart
The power of the gospel is not simply to destroy the old, but to create the new
2 Co 5:17 If any be in Christ he is a new creature, old things have passed away: behold all
things are become new.
We are
#1 Crucified with him #2 buried with him #3 resurrected with him
#4 ascended with him # 5 seated with him in the heavenlies.
Christianity is a heart condition.
Mt 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Pro 23:26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways
1 Tim 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
People with a heart condition tend to respond differently than other people
They act in a manner that is compatible with the condition of their hearts.
Some may say: You are too loud, you are too emotional, you are too rambunctious, all that shoutin, and running, and hollerin, and speaking in tongues stuff is unnecessary.
All I have to say is: Blame it on my heart condition.
My heart is fixed.
My heart is full of peace, and joy and thanksgiving,
my heart is full of love, of forgiveness, of faith of hope.
My Heart is established: In a world that is being tossed to and fro like the waves of the sea, I have stability and confidence, and assurance.
In a world where mens hearts are failing them for fear of the things that are coming
My heart is rejoicing in the fact that my times are in his hands, and that he will perfect that which concerneth me.
If you ask me (How can you smile while others are frowning? How can you praise when all hell is broken loose against your life? How can you have joy in the midst of sorrow and tragedy?
How can you keep it together when all around you people are falling apart?
My answer is ( It’s this heart condition that I have)
