2 Timothy 2:3 (NLT)

“Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.”

I. Is a Bearer of the Cross

a. it means self-denial

b. It means death-it’s an opportunity to die to pride, die to ego (self-esteem), die to sin, die to self.

c. “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” Mark 8:34-35

II. Is a Man of Action or Self-actualization

a. Galatians 6:4(New International Version)

Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves

alone, without comparing themselves to someone else,

b. Colossians 3:23-24 (KJV)

23 And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve

the Lord Christ.

c. James 2:18 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith from my works.

III. Is a man that putteth on the full armor of God

a. Ephesians 6:10-18

- Helmet of salvation

-Breastplate of righteousness

-Shield of faith

- Belt of truth

- Sword of the Spirit which is the word of God

- Feet fitted with the Righteousness that comes from the gospel of peace
