JOHN CHAP. 15 – 1-17

I’m gonna talk to you tonight about comparing

our spiritual lives, to the Vine and its Branches

As Jesus did in chapter 15 of the book of John…

If you think about it, that’s what GOD does

with our lives, IF we turn our lives over to him

and Allow him to!!

Lets Stand and Read-words of Jesus

These words were probably spoken

As they were walking from

The upper room!!!

If you have read chapter fourteen Jesus has

told his disciples what HE WILL DO FOR

THEM

And here in Chapter 15 He Tells Them

what they

or We will be doing for HIM

Chapter 15

Beginning in Vs #1 are words of JESUS He

Wants us to be a genuine Vine or a Genuine

Christian and our Father in Heaven through

prayer is our VINE DRESSER

Our Vines He Dresses, He trims and prunes

off the old

Stuff so the new can grow and yield FRUIT…

When you turn your life over

Things happen

But it ain’t gonna happen overnight!

If you plant a flower in the ground, and

you don’t

Take care of it, like water it., talk to it.,

and cut

off the dried dead stuff & pull the weeds,

WHAT HAPPENS TO IT???? IT WILL

DIE

You’ve gotta have a certain love for it or

Its just simply not gonna make it!!!!!

MATT 15;13 SAYS

EVERY plant that my heavenly Father hath

not Planted shall be rooted up…

THE UNIQUENESS OF A CHRISTIAN

RESULTS FROM THE UNION OF

JESUS CHRIST…..AND THE BELEIVER

IS THE ROOT TO THE PLANT…

MATT 13;12 SAYS;

For whosoever hath, to him shall be given

And He shall have more abundance; But

Whosoever hath not from Him shall be

taken away Even that He hath…

For example If you can play piano or guitar

Or something of that nature…..If you don’t

Use your GOD Given talent for God

Like prune it & trim it

you may loose it!!

The Bible says He will never leave us

Or never forsake us!!!

Take me for example!!!

If We don’t abide in God like the branch

(BEING PRUNED AND PRODUCING

FRUIT)

we will be gathered and cast into the fire

and BURNED

IF WE ABIDE – ANYTHING WE ASK

WILL BE DONE OR GIVEN

You See GOD wants us to bear fruit and

LOTS OF IT

COL 1;23 SAYS;

If ye continue in the faith grounded and

settled,

And be not moved away from the hope

of the gospel

Which ye have heard…

But We must continuously be in prayer for

our brothers

And sisters in Christ as well

The Bible says we should

Pray without ceasing!

And we must always be loving toward them

YOU SEE its all about LOVE FOR EACH

OTHER

AND LOVE FOR GOD…..

If you see someone fail----WE’RE NOT

SUPPOSED

TO TALK ABOUT IT TO OUR

NEIGHBORS

OR KICK THEM WHILE THEIR DOWN

WE SHOULD PRAY FOR THEM AND

ALWAYS TRY TO BE UP-LIFTING

IT GIVES GOD ALL THE GLORY

WHEN WE

BEAR FRUIT AND HELP OTHERS

AS WELL

THIS IS WHAT GOD WANTS US TO

DO!!!!

AND YOU SEE ITS FOR HIS GLORY

WHEN WE DO!!

HOSEA CHAPTER 14 SAYS;

Ephraim said; I am like a Fir Tree In me is

THY FRUIT FOUND-

Others should find fruit in us

GOD’S FRUIT!!

1st CORINTH CHAP 3 SAYS;

NOT THAT WE are sufficient of ourselves

BUT OUR SUFFICIENCY IS OF GOD!!!!

GAL 5;22,23 SAYS ;

But the fruit of the spirit is LOVE, JOY,

PEACE,

LONG SUFFERING, GENTLENESS,

GOODNESS, FAITH, MEEKNESS, TEMPERANCE; Against such

There is no Law and what was the

first one?? LOVE

MATTHEW CHAP 3 SAYS;

And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the

Trees; therefore every tree which bringeth not forth

Good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the FIRE..

We MUST CONQUER A LIFE OF SIN

1st John says:

let us not love in word or in tongue

but IN DEED AND TRUTH!!!

THERE ARE FOUR KEYS TO ASSIST

US HOW WE CAN CONQUER SIN!!!!

ROMANS CHAP 6 TELLS US

The four keys-read it and you’ll find it!!!

KNOW – RECKON – YIELD – AND OBEY

It’s a commandment from Jesus that

WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER!!!!

THERE IS NO LOVE GREATER FRIENDS

THAN WHAT JESUS HAS SHOWN FOR US!!!

IT’S THE ULTIMATE LOVE….

1st JOHN TELLS US

Love not the world, neither the things

that are in The world. If any man love the world…

THE LOVE OF THE FATHER IS NOT IN HIM!!!

The Bible Tells US!!

This old world is just full of LUST OF THE

FLESH

AND LUST OF THE EYES - AND THE

PRIDE OF LIFE…

We must trim our vines-We must trim away SIN

WE MUST TRIM AWAY SIN - PAST, PRESENT
