If you had a choice to defile your body by eating from a table filled with defiled food or starve and obey God? The young men in your hearing had to face that decision in front of the Persian king.

God Brought Favor for You. Daniel had made up in his mind that he would not eat the King’s food (the royal food). His choice is to obey God instead of man. God also brought favor to the officials who’s under the King plus showed compassion; by obeying God, Daniel, Hannanish, Michael and Azariah were rewarded.

God Tests Us David, the Hebrew Boys and Melzar and his servants. For ten days, they did not eat anything but vegetables and drink water. Long before the South Beach diet, this was the Hebrew Diet. This was the test God gave to them and as all of us as well. You see, who will mostly healthy when eating from God’s table looking forward in being a healthy and balanced diet of God’s Word not being “malnourished”. If you eat from the table of the world, you’ll starve a lot and probably crave for those things you may not need but what the world will give you. God gave favor to these four young men was questioned by the king and addition being ten times better than the magicians and the enchanters in the whole kingdom and Daniel remained there until King Cyrus’ first year.

III. Having A Strong Faith

Joshua 1:6 ESV

“Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them”. Daniel and the three Hebrew Boys had a strong faith. A faith so strong that nothing or no one could break them or bend them to their will but only by the will of God. Daniel’s faith led him to believe that in only 10 days God would bring about such improvement in their appearance that the guard would change their diet permanently. Daniel’s faith in God was rewarded, for at the end of the 10 days the four young men had a healthier appearance than the others and the guard did in fact change their diet permanently. Finally, we all can learn from Daniel and the Hebrew Boys. Daniel gets an explanation of what will happen to the people in the future made him bowed face down and speechless.

We should show humility while staying focus on what God has like Daniel in the manner that it is to be done. It is with that humility coupled with that strong faith made Daniel the man we respect today.

We can have strength even in times that we may feel weak. “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up". James 4:10 | NIV

Showing weakness doesn’t show you are powerless

But even more powerful but humbled. Staying humble doesn’t show sign a weakness but strength and that strong faith in God showed on Daniel even during times that seems like a time of weakness.

Remember this if it isn’t nothing else, God’s plan for your life is that you have joy and life to the fulness and it is God, not even man or things, but God can give you strength even feeling torn down. The Scripture says in Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread (FEAR) of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Daniel knew that having this strong and sincere faith was dangerous with those “princes” of Persia (which is now modern-day Iran) and Greece that is described as a demonic, ungodly force that unnamed being from assisting Daniel; he stuck to his guns.

Daniel gets the explanation of what would happen to his people if they didn’t obey the king’s order. God spared their lives because of their steadfast, strong, sincere faith.

Faith is defined in the Word of God as:” Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1)

Faith is an essential part of having a relationship with Jesus Christ. The Bible has many scriptures on faith that talk about what faith is, the power of faith and things that can be accomplished through faith.

The Scripture clearly tells us, Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he
