The word desperate according to Webster dictionary means: “without care for danger: reckless as from dispair; (2) resorted to in the last extremity:drastic (3) in frantic need.

Our text takes place at the entrance or the border of Jericho and here we see Jesus along with his disciples entering in to Jericho and there was a man siting on the side of the road by the nameof Bartimaeus the son of Timaemus.

The scripture tell us he was I trouble he had a problem that neede immediate assistanceand the Scripture declares he heard that Jesus was coming in his direction and he began to cry out.

It wasn’t a cry of excitement, it wasn’t a cry of joy but it was a out cry of desperation. Let take a look at Bartimaeus .

CONCLUSION

As he began to cry out there was somefolk around that rebuked him for making so much noise they told man to hold his peace, stop making all that rackette

You know we have some folk in the Church like that, when fold get to crying out we have some folk who say it don’t take all that yelling and screaming and all they are trying to do is keep you from receiving what you need from God but you have to like Bartemaeus and get despirate for when you they tried to get him hush and be quiet he cried out the more and no doubt the louder. Until he got Jesus attention.
