A Declaration of Our Dependence on God
From the Declaration of Independence
We need God back in America again; it has to begin with the church. The church is not the building but a body of people 230 years ago, our ancestors wrote the words in the declaration of Independence.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I. We have a Creator- There is a God
So God created people in his own image; God patterned them after himself; male and female he created them. Gen. 1:27 (NLT)
II. We are created equal- We are all sinners.
For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
Rom. 3:23 (NLT)
III. Our unalienable right to life comes from Jesus-
Jesus is the way
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6 (NLT)
IV. Our unalienable right to liberty comes through our
relationship with Christ - Jesus will set you free
So Christ has really set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law. Gal. 5:1 (NLT)
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

V. Our unalienable right to happiness comes from
loving God- Follow Jesus with all your heart
“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. John 15:9 (NLT)
10When you obey me, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father and remain in his love. John 15:10 (NLT)
11I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! John 15:11 (NLT)
Conclusion:
And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.
Our commitment to God & the Church will determine our country’s destiny- We need God in America again
For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin first among God’s own children. And if even we Christians must be judged, what terrible fate awaits those who have never believed God’s Good News? 1 Pet. 4:17 (NLT)
And “If the righteous are barely saved,what chance will the godless and sinners have?”1 Pet. 4:18 (NLT)
