Summary: Motherhood is a sacred calling, and the Bible provides guidance on how to raise children in a way that honors God.

Motherhood is a sacred calling, and the Bible provides guidance on how to raise children in a way that honors God. However, not all mothers follow God’s plan. We’ll explore the differences between worldly mothers and godly mothers, using Bible verses to highlight their distinct approaches.

Worldly Mothers:

Worldly mothers prioritize temporal things, seeking to satisfy their own desires and ambitions. They often focus on:

- Material success (Matthew 6:24)

- Social status (Luke 12:15)

- Self-gratification (Proverbs 31:17)

They may neglect their children’s spiritual needs, leaving them vulnerable to the world’s influences.

Godly Mothers:

Godly mothers, on the other hand, prioritize eternal things, seeking to raise their children according to God’s Word. They focus on:

- Spiritual growth (2 Timothy 1:5)

- Character development (Proverbs 31:26)

- Obedience to God (Deuteronomy 6:6–7)

They pray for their children, teach them Scripture, and model a life of faith.

Key Differences:

- Priorities: Worldly mothers prioritize temporal things, while godly mothers prioritize eternal things.

- Focus: Worldly mothers focus on self, while godly mothers focus on God and their children’s spiritual well-being.

- Legacy: Worldly mothers may leave a legacy of wealth and success, but godly mothers leave a legacy of faith and righteousness.

While worldly mothers may achieve temporary success, godly mothers invest in eternal things, shaping the next generation of believers. Let us strive to be godly mothers, following the Bible’s guidance and trusting God’s sovereignty in our children’s lives.
