Introduction

Good morning, brothers and sisters in Christ. In our walk with God, there are moments when we’re challenged, when we’re called to step out of our comfort zones, to evaluate the lives we lead. Today, we will be diving deep into a passage from 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 that serves as a reminder of the power of obedience, the benefits of a changed life, and the necessity of following Jesus.

As respected Christian author C.S. Lewis once wrote, "No man knows how bad he is till he has tried very hard to be good." And that's what we're going to explore today, the transformation that comes when we try hard to be good, when we try hard to follow Jesus.

Let us bow our heads in prayer as we prepare to delve into these powerful words. "Heavenly Father, we thank you for your word, which is alive and active in our lives. As we unpack the details of this scripture, we ask that you open our hearts and minds to grasp the depth of your love, the power of obedience, and the beauty of a transformed life in you. Help us, Lord, to understand the necessity of following Jesus and living lives that are pleasing to you. Amen."
