Summary: You may have prayed different models of prayer. There is the Lord's prayer. There is the A.C.T.S. of prayer. The Apostle Paul gives us another simple model, The ABCs of Prayer.
A,B,C’s of Prayer
Phil. 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

"Be anxious for nothing,”
I'm not God. BEFORE I start solving the problem, worrying, fretting, fault-finding, fixing things, remember ... start praying!

B - Brag on God.
“but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,”
Awe & Worship & Adoration. Place on the Throne, again. Most high. Most nigh. Our Identity & Position. Praise God’s nature (person), passions/heart, purposes, precepts, promises, presence, past performances.

A-udaciously, S-hamelessly, K-indly/generously ... A.S.K. Values & Desires, Mind, Physical, Relationships, Emotional

Trusting & Thankful for His wisdom (plans & understanding), love (care & affection), power (authority & ability). God's answer. God's way. God's timing. Release.
E - Endure it, again.
“will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Strength though weary. Overcome evil, with good. Fight the good fight. We pray by faith, not by sight.
