7 Up

7 UP

As a young man one of the best selling soft drinks was 7 up. It had a strong fizz and was clean and clear. It was lifting up when you were hot and tired.

We can find 7 things to make us live a better life if we look close.

1. CHRISTIANS MUST STAND UP.

Psalm 111: 8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

Ex 3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

A. Don’t loose your fizz ( stand up )

B. We must be strong not flat.

C. We must be clean.

D. We must be cleared of all sins so people can see Jesus in us.

2. CHRISTIANS MUST PRAY UP.

Matt: 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

A. Confess our sins .

B. Pray for leadership.

C. Pray for the church and pastor.

D. Pray that our churches will wake up.

3. CHRISTIANS MUST PICK UP.

Matt: 16 : 24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Matt: 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

A. Pick up your cross

B. Pick up your love

C. Pick up your spirit

D. Pick up the sweetness of fellowship.

4. CHRISTIANS MUST CONFESS UP.

Psalm 32: 5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

1st John 1: 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

B. Wrongs

C. Sins past present and future

D. Greed

5. CHRISTIANS MUST MOVE UP.

Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

A. Move closer to the Lord

B. Move out things not needful in our lives.

C. Move out bitterness.

D. Move out things not needed in the house of God.

6. CHRISTIANS MUST GIVE UP.

1st Tim 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

A. Give up tithes.

B. Give up talents.

C. Give up gossip.

D. Give back biting.

7. CHRISTIANS MUST PACK UP.

A. Pack up Heavenly goods not earthly .

B. Pack up your sins and ship to the cross.

C. Pack up our past and give it to the Devil.

D. Pack the Devil and send him to hell.

E. Pack up the word and spread it.
