Summary: Every one should know what God gives with his Salvation.
7 THINGS YOU GET WITH SALVATION
Luke 1: 67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
(1) Deliverance from our enemies.
Ver. 71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
1John 5: 18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
(2) Mercy from God.
Ver.72To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
Titus 3: 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
(3) Justification by faith.
Ver. 72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
(4) Peace with God.
74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
Eph. 2: 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
(5) Holiness and Righteousness.
Ver. 74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
Eph.2: 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
(6) Reconciliation to God.
Ver. 77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
Col.1: 20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
(7) Light and guidance.
Ver. 79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
1John 1: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
